Shakir oversees the investment activities of LGT Impact across Sub-Saharan Africa. He previously managed the Africa Healthcare Fund and has also been responsible for growing investment value in sectors including logistics, banking, manufacturing and unashamedly, fashion retail. His prior experience includes doing early-stage investing in technology businesses in Western Europe, as well as strategy consulting for the Monitor Company and Coopers & Lybrand.
