Our Reach

The potential

Consumer spending accounts for 60% of African economic growth, $680B of which is driven by the middle class alone

Investor, global economy, Copia Global

The global economy is missing out on a massive, untapped, high growth market opportunity. There are 750 million middle and low-income African consumers who spend $680B per year. Formal retail and e-commerce cannot reach the vast majority of them, but Copia’s mobile commerce platform can.

Leveraging a network of digitally-enabled, locally based Agents who operate as ordering and delivery points, we meet consumers where they are – online or offline. Despite poor road infrastructure and no addresses, we have facilitated innovative tech-enabled logistics operations that achieve fast and convenient delivery costs.

Copia Impact

Serving middle to low-income African consumers, regardless of their income level, access to technology or location

Copia doubled its business in 2021 and projects to achieve the same growth in 2022. Today we serve over 1.9 million customers in Kenya and Uganda.

Copia Network

Responsible sourcing

Copia provides unrivaled, direct access to a large, previously anonymous customer base for our suppliers. We collaborate with key suppliers during community activations and other marketing promotions to increase product awareness and sales. Our customer market intelligence allows us to share valuable insights on products with our suppliers, and Copia is able to fulfil orders on time and in full by leveraging mobile technologies, a network of local Agents, and proprietary logistics systems.
